Powerflip as a benchmark
I am not really sure that Powerflip is a good benchmark, but I list some results anyway because they are easy to obtain and to be honest: Isn't Powerflip among those things we run when we want to impress people with our SGIs? So here we go...
Why isn't it a good benchmark? It is using double buffered output which means that it is synchronized with the display, which again means that while it doesn't flicker it's performance is affected by the monitor settings. Thus the results in the following tables are separated by the resolution that is used (see Resolution and FPS columns).
