Introduction

Basics

The Altix 330 is entry-level Linux server. A simple Altix 330 is a 1U-high rack mounted compute module. Up to 8 of these compute modules can be NUMAlinked. A single system may contain from 1 to 16 Itanium 2 processors and up to 128 GB of memory.

The PA Module adds PCI-X expanson capabilities to the Altix 330 system. It adds 4 64-bit/133 MHz PCI-X, 3.3V and Universal 64-bt/66MHz PCI-compatible (6 slots)

NUMAlink Module

General

The NUMAlink Module connects up to 8 Compute Modules to one larger system with up to 32 processors. This router equals an R-Brick which is used in larger scale Altix systems.
